With a trio of resorts in Barbados, weddings and honeymoons at an Almond is a guaranteed couple-pleaser. All-inclusive from top to bottom, the resorts offer a kaleidoscope of fun from water sports and West Indian cooking classes to energetic nights of calypso dancing under the stars. Unique wedding venues range from a historic Sugar Mill to a seaside gazebo and with wedding planners who excel at every detail; all eyes are on the couple as happy guests snap photos of the magic day.

On the west coast, the adults-only Almond Beach Club tantalizes with treats for twosomes like a roomy spa tub and shopping promenade. Set amidst fragrant gardens bursting with rainbow-hued flowers, a frolic in the warm waves or taking five in the spa is the perfect antidote to humdrum days home. Waterskiing, sailing and aqua cycling soothe the spirit and for landlubbers, there’s plenty action on the tennis and volleyball courts.

Also on the west coast, Almond Beach Village tempts with comfy hammocks stretched between two coconut palm trees that morph an afternoon nap into a high art. For adventurous couples, sailing and windsurfing are tops and after dark, a night on the town is divine. For the ultimate chill-out, salt scrubs and seaweed baths are waiting at the Spa.

Fronting Dover Beach on the south coast, Almond Casuarina is a big hit with gastronomes who rave about the trio of eateries while the green monkeys outside snack on bamboo and fruit trees and frogs whistle in harmony. Popular nighttime outings include a fruity cocktail at the many bars and restaurants in the nearby St. Lawrence Gap and dinner at Oistins Fish Fry where steamed snapper and a side of macaroni pie is an authentic bite of local life. For couples who covet a room with a view, Room 3210 is for sublime vistas and quiet nights.

Getting married Almond-style is a breeze with the signature “For You, About You” wedding packages that include skilled planners, sunset ceremonies on the beach or in the perfumed gardens and uber-romantic suites for honeymooners. You will find 3 swimming pooks at this all inclusive Barbados resort , one of which is a large split-level pool in the Courtyard divided by a waterfall, as well as another pool connected to an 8 person spa tub.

Barbados, one of the southernmost islands in the Caribbean, is a country filled with gorgeous white sand beaches, warm and charming people, and rich local culture. The coastline of Barbados ranges greatly from the calm and peaceful west coast to the more turbulent waves on the east coast. Coral formations and sandstone cliffs weave in and out of the coastal beaches. Home to one of the last remaining fully-restored sugar mills, Morgan Lewis Windmill, Barbados has many different historical sites, natural landmarks, and resorts perfect for destination weddings. Those honeymooning in Barbados can expect a wide variety of adventures and activities including scuba diving, hiking, touring citrus orchards and plantations like Drax Hall. Barbados is the perfect island for those craving a destination with plenty of interesting things to do, while still being a beautiful spot to just enjoy relaxing on the beach!
