St. Kitts and Nevis Activities and Attractions

Zip Line

Up, up and away in a Sky Safari Zip Line Tour with fantastic aerial views of the rainforest. Thrill seekers get up-close-and-personal with the green rainforest, neighboring islands and historical sites, as they fly through the skies at speeds of up to eighty kilometers per hour.

Dieppe Bay Beach

Spend a day at Dieppe Bay Beach, a small palm-lined, black sand beach that is protected by a reef and is ideal for swimming. As home to a variety of marine life, the reef also makes for excellent snorkeling while the beach is ideal for topping off a suntan due to the shiny volcanic sand that enhances the sun's rays.

Royal St. Kitts Golf Club

Royal St. Kitts Golf Club

Close to the St. Kitts Marriott Resort, The Royal St. Kitts Golf Club challenges with twelve lakes and a stretch of 6,900 yards when played from the back tees. First opened in 1976 and recently renovated, the course is one of the most scenic in the Caribbean. With Marriott Golf Management at the helm, golfers can expect unsurpassed course conditions on a layout that includes water hazards on ten holes, eighty bunkers and a plenty of coconut palm trees along the Atlantic Ocean coast.

Basseterre City Stroll

Take a leisurely stroll through the capital city of Basseterre where a bylaw prohibiting buildings to stand taller than a palm tree is part of the charm. Bustling from morning till night, the four-century old city is brimming with shops for browsing and perches for people-watching. In the center is the Circus, a traffic circle with a four-faced clock tower, the ideal spot to find a cab driver. Take five in Independence Square where slave auctions were once held, learn about sugar plantation history in the National Museum or pick up a duty-free Cuban Habano but puff away on the island as Americans are not allowed to bring them back to the US.

Bird Watching

Bird watching is big business with a myriad of ecosystems that are home to rare birds like the Royal Tern, Feral Pigeon and the very photogenic Black-faced Grassquit. An awesome array of birdlife live on the nine large ponds that bird watchers from all over the world come to see.

Jewish Tours

Although it's been more than two centuries since a Jewish community flourished in Nevis, references to the 'Jews School' and the 'Jews Temple' remain an important part of island lore. Tours can be arranged at the Four Seasons Resort or ask any local cab driver to point out the sights.
